Official team to look into issues of students outside the state.

JAMMU: Governor Satya Pal Malik on Monday gave directions for constituting a team of officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Government which would hold consultations with managements of educational institutions in Dehradun, Uttrakhand, and other educational institutions in other states where a large number of students from Kashmir are studying.
This official team will look into various issues of safety of students, timely completion of their courses, matters relating to attendance and missed lectures by the students.
After reviewing the situation, the team will submit a report to the Governor including steps taken to ensure safe return of students and catching up with scheduled academic calendar of the respective educational institutions.
Some students from Kashmir, fearing for their safety after the Pulwama attack in February, had returned back to their homes.
